Noname's Umbrella
Category: Forage
In some old photos and even painting, projections...Noname carries one to use as an umbrella before consuming it for lunch.
It's very much like...a thick, single cabbage leaf.
Wagtails
Category: Forage
Pluck one out of the ground and eat it, it's not bad. Back in the day, it was speculated the chewier younger versions of it were enough to substitute a good toothbrushing for half a day...
Wood
Category: Forage
Between loose large branches of wood, and piece of wood left behind from local construction projects, these pieces of wood yet may have some use to you...
Sucker
Category: Forage
The suckers must be cut off, lest they stick to the inside of your mouth and throat as you try to eat them raw.
Alternatively, just cook well, damn.
Star Moss
Category: Forage
Sometimes, if a Novatt is hungry or feral enough, they get on their hands and knees and eat these right off of rocks.
It's largely unknown why they do this, as it's not especially tasty, but it's speculated that there's a lot of stored cosmic energy stored in even a tiny bit of these mosses.
Speckled Blue
Category: Forage
Nothing quite says 'I love you'
like a foraged Speckled Blue.
The whole thing can be taken apart and eaten.
Skitterbutt Pumpkin
Category: Forage
The green good on top of corosive as fuck, but once it's left to harden it can be peeled off, and the pumpkin can be pretty much eaten as a pumpkin...
The name is in relation to the bottom part, which some Novatts are certain would carry it away at a moment's notice.
Polli
Category: Forage
An absolute disaster plant to have, being easy to spread and a common allergen.
Tasty, tho, with the fluffy flowers used for candy and the stalks used for salads.
Nudles
Category: Forage
Inside of the Nudles, once peeled, is a chewy center that segments into five to six pieces. A few of these can be eaten fresh with other greens as a 'NudleSalad', or cooked into a 'NudleSoup'.
Unknown Seed
Category: Forage
Found during a rowdy romp through the forests, plant it in a plot of dirt and possibly farm whatever pops out!
Neptune Eye Trap
Category: Forage
Despite the name very much linked to Earth's 'Venus Fly Trap'...the plant has no plans to eat insects.
The 'eye' is actually a very sticky fruit that can be picked and dried and used in candy!
Mooshi
Category: Forage
Despite the name, the mushroom's texture is still very much as other mushrooms...NOT that you should eat it!
Ibroot
Category: Forage
The taste isn't unlike a Earth Carrot...tho, sometimes they do develop a gingery kind of flavor...those ones, in particular, fetch a high price for taste and scarcity.
Hanging Rainbow
Category: Forage
They say only one piece of this fungi tastes absolutely like fruity cereal, if you can find the right one...the rest taste much the same as any old mushroom.
Once they grow huge enough unharvested, they all become inedible, but produce a strong glow that makes midnight forages easier.
Devil Cacti
Category: Forage
Fruit of the cacti is usually the target of a good forage...but with the size of the devil, the whole thing is probably sweet to the taste.
Anji
Category: Forage
Leaves are tough and hard to chew, tasteless...the flowers are fine to eat whole.
They make a nice gift for any occasion.
